Yammmer, the app that allows you to communicate and remain connected with colleagues, to promote collaboration and engagement among employees of a company, is now integrated into Microsoft Teams.

Microsoft has released within the app store the new app called Communities that brings the new interactive experience of Yammer, with communities and conversations, directly in Microsoft Teams.

At Microsoft Ignite 2019, Redmond’s company launched new features and a redesign of the Yammer user experience, which had arrived last month in new versions of mobile apps for iOS and Android.

With the global health crisis that has forced so many people to work remotely, Microsoft has now announced, it has become more important than ever for corporate leaders to connect people with their teams and their organizations. Now comes an additional tool to feed employee communication, sharing and engagement, with Yammer in Microsoft Teams.

Teams and employees, with the experience of Yammer within Microsoft Teams, can use this tool so that all the people of the organization, even remotely working, can remain involved, informed and updated on the activities.

The new Yammer app for Microsoft Teams is used to keep everyone informed about what is happening in their community conversations, to share ads, participate in live events and get in touch with colleagues, just like you do with Yammer’s web or mobile apps

This integration is all the more important considering that, Microsoft points out, more than 44 million people use Teams every day to do their job. And while many people spend even more time working with their teams, it is often necessary to go beyond the main working groups, in the more general context of the organization, to find information, share experiences and skills and receive or give feedback.

In this context, the Yammer app allows for example to share a large-scale survey or question and to instantly inform people about important news, with advertisements for the entire organization or specific communities. In addition, the app provides easy visibility of the scope and impact of such communications.

In addition, Yammer’s familiar social network experience simplifies the search for conversations that can help us, as well as asking questions, marking the best answers and more.

Managers can also use the features for Yammer live events to broadcast broadcast meetings involving the entire organization, with videos, interactive conversations and questions and answers sessions to share the vision and involve employees in this period of social distancing

Administrators and users can install the Yammer app, called “Communitys,” from the Teams app store.

It remains then possible to use the mobile apps of Yammer, as well as applications for Windows and Mac.
