The interview with Daniele Lombardo by TeamSystem.

One year after the launch of the recovery plan at European level, which led to the PNRR in Italy, 01net carries out an investigation, based on a series of interviews with the main companies operating in Italy in the ICT on their strategy for digitalisation of the

We talk with them about four key themes of digital transformation: resilience, cybersecurity, cloud, environmental and social sustainability and the answers allow you to build the ICT reality participation map for the country’s growth in the digital sense.

And there is one more theme, the fifth: in a spirit of consultation, we ask that Italian entrepreneurs be given an extra idea, capable of producing immediate value in terms of efficiency and competitiveness.

For TeamSystem, Daniele Lombardo, the Marketing, Institutional Relations and Communication Director, responded.

A year after the Recovery Plan, where are we with the real transformation of the country: with what solutions, skills and services do you participate in the missions of the PNRR involving digital?

Digital transformation, together with the theme of sustainability, represents the polar star of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR) and as a result of the development and growth of our country over the next few years. There is no public or private interlocutor who does not put digital first among the main guidelines to trigger the transformation of the development model of Italy, also following the pandemic emergency, and to address the structural problems that have plagued the fabric for years TeamSystem continues to work to bring innovative solutions to the market that allow companies and professionals to digitise processes and become increasingly competitive thanks to technology. We are constantly working alongside companies to help them perfect their digital supply chain strategy, with the aim of breaking down internal barriers, evolving towards a more agile and fully integrated ecosystem, and increasing the efficiency of business management,

The key component of digital transformation is the cloud. What are the choices that Italian companies will have to make in 2022?

The cloud will become increasingly crucial as the level of digitalisation of businesses increases. This technology represents, in concrete terms, the environment that hosts and correlates all the elements that make up the digital transformation, from the Internet of Things, to the Artificial Intelligence. It is essential, especially in the light of future investments that are expected through the implementation of the PNRR. Italian companies will have to invest in the cloud in a way that is also convinced for 2022. This will enable them to leverage greater cost efficiency, but they will also have the possibility to operate with software that is always up-to-date, in full compliance with regulations and in the total safety of data and systems.

After the Cop26 it was understood that sustainability, both environmental and social, now affects not only all countries but also all companies. What is your strategy on these issues?

We continue to strengthen our sustainability strategy, aware that climate change is no longer a long-term issue. We must act immediately with decisive interventions and a medium- to long-term vision. TeamSystem is focused on some specific issues, for which we have given ourselves some concrete goals internally, and we have integrated them into our overall strategy as a company. The fact that a private company has among its objectives the profitability and production of profits is almost established. In my opinion, it is misleading to think that company performance is disconnected from the impact of the company and the environment in which they are located. In this sense, TeamSystem seeks to promote actions at all levels to combat climate change, but also to promote fair and responsible innovation and industrialisation. Moreover, our commitment to digitalisation of the country alongside companies and professionals, we believe, can contribute to reducing environmental impacts: dematerialization and e-invoicing means, for example, reducing paper waste, as well as being able to collaborate through digital platforms helps to

TeamSystem’s ICT idea of 2022

If you were to offer a single investment (product, solution, methodology) to an Italian company, a choice that could produce an immediate benefit in terms of efficiency and competitiveness, what would your advice be about?

We would suggest that we consider a strong investment in digital finance solutions. In a scenario where Italian SMEs daily account for particularly extended payment times by their customers and with the strenuous search for capital at sustainable costs to maintain the competitiveness of their business, our solutions offer the country’s business fabric a competitive advantage, based on the “Cancellona” Recently with Nexi, the leading PayTech in Europe, we have made an agreement to put open banking at the service of Italian companies. Through the new TeamSystem Pay service, which exploits the CBI Globe-Functionality Active technology developed by CBI, with Nexi as a technological partner and integrated in management solutions for SMEs and professionals, all the potential of open banking are enabled This is a further significant example of how technology can create a real collaborative ecosystem, where customers, employees, suppliers, investors or partners are able to make their content, documents and information available, creating synergies to achieve common results.
