A year after the Recovery Plan, where are we with the real transformation of the country: with what solutions, skills and services do you participate in the missions of the PNRR involving digital?

The transformation of the country is in progress but has developed from different starting points, and proceeds at different speeds depending on the sectors. For example, the Public Administration was certainly behind the private in the field of technology and of enabling to smart working, but it had a very strong acceleration. Moreover, there is a great excitement in the drafting of the digital agenda and all the planning for a real digital transition of the public administration that I hope will not stop, thanks to the impulse given by the Government Dragons and the funds of the PNRR.

2021 was the year in which the theme of cybersecurity landed in all businesses. What concrete prospects did you give for 2022?

Indeed 2021 was the year in which the company realized the strategicity of cybersecurity › is now a theme for the attention of Top Management and Board of Directors, not only the information systems Every 11 seconds, one enterprise is the victim of ransomware, and Italy is the sixth country due to the frequency and extent of the attacks, with an average ransom required that stands at 250,000 euros but with peaks of a few million. In fact, most of these crimes … that occur through the cloud… can be avoided, because they are largely perpetrated by human error or inappropriate configurations. Oracle applies to its Cloud a security …by design, at all levels… Hardware, Firmware and Software… or designed to be present by default and automated to reduce all these risks.

The five safety principles of Oracle that guide the design and development of our products are:

Oracle’s goal is to automate as many routine tasks as possible • often a source of a large number of errors and incorrect configurations • and allow people to devote time to higher level problems. Unified tools and controls: To make everything easier, Oracle Cloud Security tools are available within the console integrated into our Cloud, which means looking for answers in one place.

The key component of digital transformation is the cloud. What are the choices that Italian companies will have to make in 2022?

As already anticipated in the first response, I believe that the key choice to make, for companies of every size, order and grade, is to become more agile in every business environment, and the cloud and the most appropriate model for the delivery of digital services. This will not be possible for everyone at the same time, of course, but it will have to be the final goal of a journey in order to be able to equip itself with the intrinsic innovation enabled by the cloud itself

The cloud is obviously not the solution to all challenges, but it makes it easier and more affordable to reach • the transformation into a modern perspective of your business and •value chain in general.
