VMware has announced new platform improvements for Load Balancer NSX Advanced.

VMware’s standalone load balancing solution has replaced over 7,000 hardware-based load balancers and is helping cloud and security-conscious customers, including 6 of the top 10 finance companies in America, to improve agility,

With the latest release, NSX Advanced Load Balancer will provide improvements to enable applications to scale elastically on any infrastructure in data centers and clouds with simplified operations, centralized control, real-time analysis and end-time automation.

According to a 2018 IDC Business Value Study, the average annual value achieved with the NSX Advanced Load Balancing platform is $4.11 million per organization. This includes a reduction in costs for the purchase of an ADC solution of 53%, a decrease of 47% of operating costs and an estimated five-month repayment time. Customers could also scale capacity with an increase in speed of almost 100%, according to the study, which is crucial for the requirements of time to market and business continuity.

NSX Advanced Load Balancer is an enterprise-level platform for load balancing and security of applications built on native cloud principles and provided entirely in the form of software. The platform provides local and global load balance, web application firewall (WAF), application analysis and Kubernetes input services in any data center or cloud. NSX Advanced Load Balancer is ‘agnostic’ compared to the underlying environment and provides load balance and safety in VMware and non-VMware environments.
