After the state cashback launched on December 3, the initiative for digitalization of physical payments, a substantial part of the fight against the blackout, enters phase two, with the start of the lottery of receipts.

From 1 February, purchases of goods and services of at least 1 euro paid by electronic means at operators who transmit charges electronically can generate tickets valid for participation in the first draw.

The initiative, in fact, provides for the release of a ticket, digital means, for every expense in the store, starting from the expense of one euro, paid in cashless mode.

The ratio of the initiative is therefore: the more you spend traceablely in the daily, i.e. using digital payment instruments, the more chances of winning.

What you win at the receipt lottery

The lottery wins the buyers, but the sellers wins.

For Thursday 11 March 2021 the first monthly draw is set that will distribute prizes from 100,000 euros to 10 buyers and prizes from 20,000 to 10 exhibitors against receipts transmitted and registered to the lottery system from 1st to 28 February.

From June 2021 will be added the weekly draws that will distribute every week 15 prizes of 25,000 euros for those who buy and 15 prizes of 5,000 euros for those who sell.

At the beginning of next year will be held the first annual extraction that will reward one of the purchases made from 1 February to 31 December 2021 assigning 5 million euros to a buyer and 1 million euros to an operator.

How to participate

In a joint measure, the Customs and Monopolies Agency and the Revenue Agency have established rules for the operation of the Lottery of receipts.

First of all, you can participate in those who are of age and reside in Italy.

The participant must register his tax code on the lottery website of the receipts obtaining in exchange a personal code that he must communicate to the operator to each purchase with which he intends to participate in the lottery.

It is a barcode and alphanumeric. The code can be printed or saved on a mobile device (smartphone or tablet) to be displayed to the operator when the purchase is made.

If the amount of the expenditure is at least 1 euro and the payment is made by electronic means (credit cards, debit cards, ATMs, prepaid cards, cards and apps connected to private payment circuits and limited expenditure), the electronic receipt that the

Euro spent, up to a maximum of 1,000 tickets for each receipt of an amount equal to or greater than 1,000 euros.

Cash purchases, online purchases, those for which an invoice is issued and those for which the customer provides the operator with his tax code or health card for the purposes of deduction or tax deduction may not participate in the lottery.

What to do when you win

After the extraction of the winning tickets the Customs and Monopolies Agency dates back to the lottery code associated with the ticket extracted and to the tax code of the buyer

and to the VAT number of the operator.

Each receipt participates in a single weekly draw, one

monthly and one-year extraction.

For each extraction, premiums are provided for both the buyer and the operator from which the purchase took place.

The winnings are communicated via PEC (certified electronic mail) to the address communicated in the reserved area of the lottery portal (for exhibitors, in the National Index of Certified Electronic Mail Addresses, INI-PEC).

In the absence of a JEP, the communication is sent by registered mail with acknowledgement of receipt.

When the Lottery of Receivers Begins

The first draw of the Lottery of receipts will therefore be the monthly one of Thursday 11 March 2021, which will decree the first twenty winners among those who, buying and selling, have produced receipts transmitted and registered to the Lottery System from 1st to 28 February

2021.

Monthly draws will then be made, every second Thursday of the month, among all tickets generated by fees transmitted and recorded by the Lottery System in the month preceding the draw.

As mentioned, from June will be added weekly draws, always on Thursday, among all tickets generated by fees transmitted and registered to the Lottery System from Monday to Sunday of the previous week.

The first weekly draw is scheduled for Thursday, June 10.

Finally, there will be the annual draw, which will be awarded a prize of 5 million euros for the buyer and 1 million euros for the operator and for which all the tickets generated by fees transmitted and registered to the Lottery System compete from

1 January to 31 December of each year.

The first annual extraction, which will take place at the beginning of 2022 (the date will be communicated with a measure of the Director General of the Customs and Monopolies Agency) will compete with all tickets generated from 1 February to 31 December 2021.
