The migration of a large part of the Intesa Sanpaolo information system to the cloud is now on the way.
In fact, the final agreements were signed, which had started last May with a Memorandum of Understanding, between Intesa Sanpaolo, Tim and Google.
As required by the legislation, the migration project has been screened by the competent authorities.
According to the agreement, Google’s cloud services will meet the highest international standards of security and confidentiality of information and support at the infrastructure level on Tim’s Italian data centers in Milan and Turin.

At the same time, a centre dedicated to artificial intelligence, training and professional support of startups will be created through joint initiatives between Intesa Sanpaolo, Google and Tim, which still need to be defined but which provide support from the Turin Polytechnic
For the business continuity of Intesa Sanpaolo banking services, the creation of two Google cloud regions in Milan and Turin was conceived.
Both cloud regions will be implemented according to the best environmental sustainability practices and will be carbon neutral, to comply with and guidelines of the Intesa Sanpaolo Group shared by Tim.
