Intel announced the launch of the eleventh generation of Core processors with Intel Iris Xe graphics (codenamed
Eleventh-generation Intel Core processors optimize efficiency with performance and far superior to predecessors, operating at significantly higher frequency.
More than 150 new processor-based products are being developed by numerous partners including Acer, Asus, Dell, Dynabook, HP, Lenovo, LG, MSI, Razer, Samsung and others.
Intel has also launched its own Intel Evo brand platform to designate the certified products for the second generation of the Project Athena innovation program and KEI.
The 11th-generation Intel Core processors-based devices with Intel Iris Xe graphics that feature the Intel Evo brand are designed to be at the top of the productivity laptop market.
They are more than 20 certified products expected for this year.
Intel Evo is born
The new Intel Evo platform certifies laptops designed to help the user focus on productivity regardless of where he is.
By measuring the workflows in real-life conditions with regard to battery performance and life, Intel’s test and measurement methodology provides a prediction of using a laptop will be in daily use.
Only products that comply with or exceed KEI and specifications are certified under the Intel Evo brand. KEIs are minimum standards and include regular battery response promptness, standby system restart in less than a second, nine or more hours of battery life in real-life conditions with FHD display systems and fast charging with up to four hours of use
Intel Evo platforms also feature wireless and wireless connectivity with integrated Thunderbolt 4 cable connectivity and Intel Wi-Fi 6 (Gig+), as well as premium category audio, webcam and display, all in format.
Intel Core 11th Generation Processors with Intel Iris Xe Graphics
The 11th generation Intel Core processors represent the most ambitious interpretation of Intel’s system-on-chip approach (SoC), with a leap forward of more than one generation in terms of performance.
A wide range of integrated features is at the base of the thin-and-light platforms available with optimized CPUs and GPUs, accelerated AIs, software optimization and platform features that maximize performance in the real use of applications and Eleventh-generation Intel Core processors are the first in the industry to support Dolby Vision in hardware, for more immersive experiences and system-level energy efficiency of 20% better than the previous generation, equal to more than half an hour more
Integrated Thunderbolt 4 features enable up to four ports to connect to a universe of peripherals and to access through a single cable to fast charging, external monitors and additional storage.
