The popular social platform of short entertainment videos launched a pilot program called TikTok Resumes and designed to be a new channel for recruiting and job search.

We stress that it is only a pilot at the moment: the program, announced the company, for now accepts video resume for job offers in the United States from July 7 to July 31.

TikTok also let us know that he is working with selected companies. Job seekers can apply for various types of positions, both entry-level and expert. This, with some of the most sought-after employers in the world, still highlights the social video, including: Chipotle, Target, WWE, Alo Yoga, Shopify, Contra, Movers+Shakers and many more

TikTok videos could therefore serve in the future not only to have fun and to create (and view) entertainment content, but also to present your video resume to companies that have open job positions.

The TikTok team suggests interested candidates to show creatively and authentically their skills and experiences, and use #TikTokResumes in the caption when they post their video resume on the platform. I work, yes, but always in the peculiar style of TikTok.

The reason for this move is explained by the company itself.

With the increase in creative content related to career and work, TikTok believes that there is an opportunity to bring more value to people’s experience with social video, improving the platform’s usefulness as a recruitment channel.

Short and creative videos, combined with integrated and easy-to-use platform creation tools, have created organic new ways to discover talented candidates and career opportunities, according to TikTok.

All this, if the pilot project will achieve positive results, it would appear that it could become a fixed channel of TikTok in the future.

TikTok Resumes, for US users, is available in the app via #TikTokResumes and on the website
