Ces 2021 has made history as the first entirely digital edition of the famous event on consumer electronics.

This was a clear success, thanks to the nearly 2000 companies that have presented new generation innovations for a better future.

Owned and produced by the Consumer Technology Association, the 2021 edition of the event presented product launches from startups to technology giants, keynotes of world leaders in the industry, live entertainment from Hollywood and over 100 hours of conference programming.

Gary Shapiro, president and CEO of CTA, stressed that the digital edition of the 2021 Ces has involved the global technological community to experiment with innovation, establish connections and conduct business. The ESC has shown how the pandemic has accelerated the innovation cycle and illustrated the resilience and innovative spirit of the IT sector. From the latest innovations in home and entertainment and progress in 5G, vehicle technology, artificial intelligence and digital health, the technologies of the CES 2021 will pave the way for a brighter tomorrow.

The 2021 Ces started on January 11 with the media day, with 19 press conferences with companies including Bosch, Canon, Caterpillar, Hisense, Intel, LG Electronics, Mercedes-Benz, Panason Media Day trends have focused on home with innovation that personalizes work, health and home entertainment, as well as progress in transport and mobility.

Almost 2000 companies launched products at the CES 2021 completely digital, including almost 700 startups from 37 countries. The exhibition companies included technology giants such as Intel, LG Electronics, Panasonic, Samsung Electronics and Sony, as well as non-traditional technology companies, from AARP to Bridgestone, Caterpillar, In New companies that have exhibited at CES 2021 include ASUS, BioIntelliSense, Bose, I’m Motors and Volvo Penta.

At Ces 2021, not only new products and solutions were found, but also key themes for society and the market as a whole. Innovation will improve our world, starting with health, safety, sustainability and accessibility.

Technology innovation accelerated by the Covid-19. Technology companies have developed advanced responses to coronavirus emergency: smart masks, robot disinfectants, body sensors that detect the symptoms of the COVID-19 and intelligent air filtration systems.

Privacy and consumer confidence. Amazon’s privacy officers, Google and Twitter discussed new privacy regulations and the need to increase consumer confidence, stating that technology companies need to give users greater control over their data.

Global technological challenge. The Global Tech Challenge, launched at CES 2020, in collaboration with the World Bank and the CTA, rewards technological solutions in three areas: digital health in East Africa, resilience in India and gender equality worldwide.

The winners selected were announced among over 1000 nominations, with three winners selected for gender equality, 10 for resilience and 17 for digital health.

Space technology. NASA has been joined by the leaders of Lockheed Martin and Space Tango to discuss the role of technology in accelerating space research and discoveries that will benefit all mankind.
