As described in recent days, Italy Cashless is the plan developed by the Government to encourage the use of credit cards, debt and payment apps, which leverages the principle of cashback.

This is an initiative that is part of the digital modernisation of the country, in this case promoting the development of a fast, simple and transparent system of payments.

The application of the principle is widely used in the fintech world, and the use of it by Satispay is a clear example.

In practice, as the Presidency of the Council has stated, every little daily expenditure must become a gain.

The programme is expected to be launched on 1 January 2021, but will have a decisive prequel starting from 8 December and until 31 December, with Extra Cashback at Christmas.

The program states that with at least 10 purchases with credit and debit cards (Amex, ATM, Diners, Maestro, Mastercard, PostePay, Visa, V-Pay) and Satispay you can get 10% refund

How Cashback Works

After that, starting from 1 January 2021, with cashback you will get a permanent 10% refund on the amount of purchases made with cards or payment apps in shops, bars, restaurants, supermarkets, large retailers, craftsmen and professionals.

Starting from 2021, first ATM Pay, then Apple Pay and Google Pay will join the program.

For the final programme there is no minimum amount of expenditure and refunds of up to 300 euros per year can be obtained.

If you make a minimum of 50 payments, every six months you will receive 10% of the amount spent, up to a maximum of 150 euros of total refund.

In this context, the maximum refund per transaction is 15 euros.

In addition to Cashback, the first 100,000 participants who, in the single semester of reference, have totaled the largest number of card and payment app transactions registered for the purposes of the program will receive a Super Cashback of 1,500 euros. And again, there is no minimum amount of expenditure.
