A year after the Recovery Plan, where are we with the real transformation of the country: with what solutions, skills and services do you participate in the missions of the PNRR involving digital?

The Recovery Plan is an important response to the uncertainty caused by the pandemic. In addition to slowing down the economy, Covid also represented a moment of deep reflection for companies. Call to verify the solidity of your structure and the ability to face three different needs: stabilisation, consolidation and recovery.

It is in this context that we at Abstract have set ourselves the objective of offering appropriate and technologically advanced solutions for each of these three phases. 2021 was the year in which the theme of cybersecurity landed in all businesses. What concrete prospects did you give for 2022?

Abstract is a consulting and development company for application solutions, which optimise processes and operations to offer a competitive advantage to companies. The key component of digital transformation is the cloud. What are the choices that Italian companies will have to make in 2022?

The cloud has proved to be a key element in ensuring agility, scalability and speed of action for organizations. On this front, we believe that the key choice is linked to the desire to rely on a benchmark cloud partner, choosing from among the leading industry leaders worldwide, or to the decision to opt for a cloud orchestrator, a logical decoupler

After the Cop26 it was understood that sustainability, both environmental and social, now affects not only all countries but also all companies. What is your strategy on these issues?

As Abstract we put into practice, promote and collaborate on various initiatives related to the eco-sustainability of activities, both as a business value and for the sharing and promotion of these values among our employees and collaborators and within the partnership that bind us

Today, the theme of sustainability concerns all our behaviour and every aspect of company life. Energy consumption is still significant in production terms. However, digital is proving to be an important enabler for the start of sustainable projects.

The digitisation of demand and production forecasting processes can help reduce waste. As well as transport planning and management, with the optimization of shipments, helps to limit the environmental impact of Logistics.

The implementation of virtuous processes, from procurement to distribution logistics through operations, not only allows to obtain new levels of internal efficiency. But it also helps to improve interaction with the external ecosystem, drawing organisations more attentive to economic, social and environmental sustainability.

ICT idea of 2022

If you were to offer a single investment (product, solution, methodology) to an Italian company, a choice that could produce an immediate benefit in terms of efficiency and competitiveness, what would your advice be about?

For Abstract the key word for the future is phygital, the integration between the physical world and the digital world. To anyone with a sales business to the public we suggest paying attention to all those actions that brands and companies can put in place to create an integrated ecosystem in which the physical world and the digital dimension coexist.

It is time to rethink the sales points in the form of experiential front-ends, fully and efficiently integrated with back-ends.

Physgitally thinking and designing facilitates the non-linear trajectory of customer journey. Which increasingly provides for the same purchase to pass through different territories, online and offline. The advice, therefore, is to be guided by experienced partners in the design and implementation of projects. Experts who allow to combine digital processes, proper to e-commerce solutions, with the experience, typical of real sales points.

Even as a result of this evolution of purchasing habits, data will continue to be increasingly important.
